The Working For Independence (WFI) program was developed in 2008 and is focused on assisting those with disabilities to prepare for meaningful employment.  The program offers 4 types of assistance to consumers:

                              - Goal Setting - the essential first step in seeking employment.  We offer tools so you can set goals that are both realistic and attainable.  Services are targeted for students in the eighth grade or above, but can be provided to anyone who needs assistance.  Group and individual sessions are available.

                              - R.I.S.E. - these are services that provide assistance with resume and interview skills.  Do you have the knowhow to 'RISE' above the coompetition?  We can help you develop a resume and prepare for interviews.  Group and individual sessions are available.

                              - Employment Attainment - We can help you fine tune your resume and conduct job searches for the right opportunity for you.

                              - Retention Services - provided to those who have successfully obtained employment.  Are you facing obstacles or challenges you don't know how to handle?

Our employment specialist provides job development resources and skills training, as well as resume creation and interview preparation.

Through the program's Youth Transition Project, we are also able to offer information and resources to transition age students with disabilities about opportunities after high school.
