R.A.G.E. Board Members

Bill Eddins, Chair

Mr. Eddins is a Special Education PE instructor for the Clark County School District .  He is also an active member of the Las Vegas community & sits on two committees for the State of Nevada- the Governors Council on Developmental Disabilities and the Strategic Plan Accountability Committee.  He has been a member of the R.A.G.E. Board of Directors since July 2005.

Lee Brastead

Mr. Brastead is the Publisher of the Challenger Newspaper. He has been a strong voice for the disabled community for over 10 years.  In addition to the Challenger, he also heads up the United Support Groups of Nevada, Southern Nevada Continuity of Care Association (SNCCA) and is a part of many other organizations in Southern Nevada .

Michael King

Michael King is HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Las Vegas’, Director of Marketing and Business Development.  He has been in the medical field for over 13 years.  He has been with HealthSouth for 1 ½ years now.  At HealthSouth he spends his time educating physicians and the community about the benefits of rehabilitation.  Through his community service he has worked with various organizations such as the American Heart & Stroke Association, The Amputee Association, and the MS Society.  Recently, prior to joining HealthSouth, Michael was the Manager of Physician Services at St. Rose Dominican Hospitals.  There he helped recruit many physicians to the Las Vegas community.  He also worked for Sunrise Hospital for 7 years as the Hyperbaric Safety Director and did the marketing for the Wound Care and Hyperbaric clinic.  Michael spent 8 years in the US Navy as a Hospital Corpsman and 2 of those years serving with the US Marine Corp. 

Cindy Lampe

Cindy Lampe is a 13 year resident of Nevada.  Before her spinal cord injury she lived in New Jersey.  She graduated from Passaic County Community College in 1989 where she received an Associates Degree in Science which helped her to become an X-ray technologist. Cindy also worked in a trauma center in Paterson, NJ for 7 years and became licensed in mammography.  In Las Vegas she also worked in the Veteran’s Hospital and worked in CAT scan.  Today, Cindy mentors and volunteers for the Women on Wheels (WOW) program which gives her the opportunity to inspire other women with spinal cord injuries to increasing their independence. 

Bob Murray

Mr. Murray currently works in the City of Las Vegas Adaptive Recreation Division & was previously a leader for the BLAZE Sports program for children with disabilities. He has been an advocate for the disabled community for many years.

Candy Smith

Candy Smith has been a resident of Las Vegas since 1986 where she attended UNLV and received her Bachelor’s Degree in social work. In 1990, Candy had a baby girl who at 2 days old was diagnosed with Beta Strep Meningitis. And later was further diagnosed as having Cerebral Palsey. Candy is currently employed full time with the Teachers Health Trust as the Assistant Claims Director. Candy has consistently been an advocate for her disabled daughter her entire life. Her life goals are to gain more knowledge about the disability laws and governmental programs offered to the disabled.

Masaru (Masa) Teramoto

Masaru (Masa) Teramoto is a Ph.D. student and graduate assistant at UNLV in Sports Education Leadership.  He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Physical Education at Utah State University and a Master’s of Science degree from UNLV in Exercise Physiology.  Currently, his research is focused on physical fitness assessment in physically challenged people.  He also assists with the City of Las Vegas Adaptive Recreation department’s wheelchair basketball and quad rugby tournaments.  Masa is dedicated to assisting people with disabilities find ways to live more fit lives.
